The weekend that kept on giving

Wow, that was one heck of a three day weekend! Who knew you could pack that much action into a single long weekend? Not us! We rounded out the whole shebang with rainy day pool fun, fancy restaurant brunches, and a trip to the beach. Of course, now that it's rainy and cold again, we'll just have to refer to the photos to remember what it was all like. Good thing Aden loves a good photo or ten!

Epic win

What do you get when you combine successful potty usage, a long weekend, new shoes, new sunglasses, corn, hot dogs, blowing bubbles, playing with friends, sleeping in, wading pools full of rainwater, and a big trip to the park? An epic win for all concerned. And it's not even over yet!

Weekend away

There's nothing like a nice long weekend when spring actually decides to cooperate in New England. A little sun, a little outdoor time, some grown-up fun, and a couple of crazy kids (though only ours is shown here). What's not to love?

Holy guacamole!

In case you hadn't noticed, our kid is a ham. A ham with a big side of guacamole.

Easterosity

One of Aden's favorite random holidays is Easter. Why? Let's see... 1) the unique food (pierogis + ham + baked beans + scrambled eggs + a whole lot of ketchup), 2) fun little presents, 3) hidden plastic eggs, and 4) adults going crazy looking for said plastic eggs. Sadly, all photos of item #4 have been deleted to protect the innocent... but trust us, it was wild this year!

Springing into action

The weather might not be 100% consistent yet, but Aden doesn't care. As far as he's concerned, if he's at home and awake, he wants to be outside running around. He might still be in his footie pajamas, it might be 40 degrees, and there may still be puddles on the porch, but it doesn't matter to him. As long as it's warm enough that he can see the ground, he wants to be out rocking and rolling.

Slowly springin'

Ah, Spring, a time of renewal - or, as it's known here in New England, a time when you never know how to dress. Snow, rain, sunshine and back again. Aden is dealing with it all very well - mostly he's just psyched that the backyard is occasionally clear of snow & debris, so he can run around and act like a little crazy man. And every now and then, his friends come over to help out with that. Especially the crazy part.
