Not an Aden post, sorry
But Jeremy worked on this really cool web project called badgebingo.com, and is helping test it right now. So this blog post is all for the greater good. We promise there will be something more Aden-related posted someday in the nearish future.

Don't call it a comeback, we've been here for years

Our son, the plumbing entrepreneur
Today in the parking lot, Aden told me "I'm not your friend!" So we went down a list of what he could be instead. We established that he was not my uncle, my cousin, my brother, my dog or my veterinarian. Turns out, according to him, he's actually my plumber. I was overjoyed when I heard the news, but when I asked how much it would cost for him to fix the third floor bathroom, he stated that it would be at least $20,000. And it would cost an additional $2,036 in zoning fees!
On the plus side, we established (via the me listing off options system again) that the new bathroom would include a sink, a toilet, a bidet, a vacuum cleaner, a television, and paper towels. No shower, but he did say that we could have a hot tub. Score!

Beach days
I don't know what the weather's like where you are, but we've hit that peculiar part of RI summer known alternately as "the dog days," "fry an egg on the sidewalk hot," or my personal favorite "the brain-melting stupifyingly horrendous days of horribleness." There's only one thing to do when this particular part of the season rolls around: get the heck out of town. So for the past couple of weekends, we've headed out to the Cape, where Aden bonded with his cousin Judah, trekked through the woods, climbed boulders, and further nurtured his inner fish. The highlight for him, though, was playing in buckets. Go figure.

Beachin' it up
Summer weather has come to New England... a month late. Not that I'm complaining, mind you - I don't mind a cool summer. But now that the heat has arrived, we're making up for lost time with as much time at the beach as possible! With a little grillin' and chillin' to mix things up.
Oh, and the dodgeball-esque shot? There's a story there...
